Lauren Colman

Girls' Assistant Coach

Coach Colman is new to the team this year and is already making an impact. She comes from the not-so-far-away town of Eudora, Kansas. There she ran cross country for 4 years under Coach Paul Boone and made it to State every year! She was a part of their great 2005 team that came up with a valiant 4th place team finish. She was also a member of a couple of runner-up State finishes in Track & Field. So, needless to say, she knows what it takes to get to that next level.

Upon graduating, Colman found herself at the University of Kansas pursuing a degree in Journalism, but through her love for education she decided to switch up her major and make her career that of an elementary school teacher. Currently, she works at Quail Run Elementary.

Getting her feet wet with the Marathon Clubs at the elementary level, Coach Colman gained her newfound passion for coaching. Her drive to succeed and care for the athletes makes her the perfect candidate to be alongside Coach Koster. Upon meeting the kids over the summer, Colman is excited to get the season started and see what the teams can do!
